How I Increased My Legitimate Home Based Business Wordpress Blog Alexa Ranking
There is a continuing debate if Alexa ranking would be used as an influential gauge to measure traffic to a website. Many legitimate home based business owners even seasoned Internet marketers testify against the use of Alexa ranking in determining the popularity of a website.
But in practice, most would refer to Alexa as a traffic monitor to decide if a website is worth doing business dealings with. So, how do you increase your ranking with Alexa?
There are many theories to this and one of them is through blogging regularly. On the Dec 11th 2008 I have decided to test this theory out on this blog; www.PluginPassiveIncome.com/blog2. I created this blog in August but had not worked on it seriously as I was learning how to use Wordpress and could not decide on which template to use etc.
Anyway, I had finally came to a conclusion to proceed with my legitimate home based business blog with this template as I really wanted to test this theory out. When I started out in December, my Alexa ranking was a little over 2.2 million. I decided to post one blog a day, social-bookmark and stumble every post to see how things would improve. I am using just Onlywire for my social-bookmarking.
In just 3 days, 13th Dec my ranking went up to 1,941,918. That’s just by 1 post a day, amazing! I continued to do the same and to date, 22nd Dec my Legitimate Home Based Business blog’s ranking have increased to 1,697,511. You can see my current ranking if you have an Alexa gauge installed on your browser.
You can come back occasionally to see if my ranking improves if you don’t believe me. Does it work? Based on my experiment it sure does. Try it out for yourself. You would be amazed with the result.
