Essential Tips To Ranking Your Legitimate Work From Home Website Up The Search Engine
Whether you are in the legitimate work from home or the fly fishing niche you should always build a website that is search engine friendly. This way you will always get free traffic from organic searches. This is easy to do and this article will show you exactly how.
For one, always do a keyword research to get as many good quality keywords for your website as you can. Then structure them to create a title for your website with the important keywords sprinkled in it. Always use keywords that are relayed to your website. This way the search engine will give more emphasis to your website. The content of your work from home website has great significance on its page rank.
Make sure the content for your legitimate work from home website is unique. Search engines are very particular about duplicate contents and they will make it hard for websites that do have them to get a good page rank. It’s not difficult to get unique contents. Take a look at the sites that pull your attention the most and use similar writing structure and points that they have. Then, re-write them in your own words. The next thing you need to do is create quality one way back-links to your website.
Quality one way back-links are one of the most important search engine optimization requirements. They go extremely well in terms of getting your work from home website up the ranks. You can achieve this by writing articles then, distributing them to article directories and to websites of similar theme. You can also contact website owners to do 3-way link exchanges with them. Reciprocal links don’t carry as much weight as they used to. I wouldn’t spend too much time on that. It is much wiser to focus your time on higher quality links.
Here is another tactic that would sky-rocket your site’s ranking. Buy an existing similar theme website that is two or more years old and optimize it. Search engines have a liking for older websites as compared to a later one. This is because they view the website as being more reliable as it has been in existence for a longer period.
These are the similar tactics experts use to place their websites on the first page of search engines. You can do the same too with your legitimate work from home website. Just apply what you have learned here to work and you will see the results for yourself.

Boost Your Online Business Website Ranking With Backlinks
You can have a perfectly optimized online business website containing your well researched keywords but still don’t rank well in the search engines. Read on to find out one of the most important ingredients to boosting your website up the ranks.
One of the main criteria search engines determine whether a website rank’s well for its optimized keywords is by gaging the number of backlinks it has pointing back to it. By backlinks I mean links pointing back to a website from other websites. Generally the more backlinks you have the more likely you will rank high provided they are quality links.
In quality links I mean links from sites that are of the same theme as yours or that have themes that are related to yours. You can check the number of backlinks your site has by using the free link popularity tool at http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/. Enter your URL and optionally up to three of your competitors’ URLs and the tool will tell you how many backlinks you have to your online business website according to Google, Yahoo and MSN.
There are many ways to get backlinks to your site. Popular methods include:
1. Article submission to article directories. Each article containing a resource box with a live link to your website.
2. Website submission to directories.
3. Links exchanges with other webmasters.
4. Forums postings that allow a signature containing a link to your site.
When building up your links pay particular attention to the anchor text. Here is an example of anchor text that I use to promote my http://www.pluginpassiveincome.com website.
<a HREF=”http://www.pluginpassiveincome.com”>Online Business</a>
My URL is in blue and my keywords are in red. Using your keywords in the anchor text is a very important step in improving the ranking of your site. Here is an example of one of my article resource boxes:

On-Page SEO To Boost Your Online Home Business Website Ranking Part 2
This is the continuation from yesterday’s post of the same title pertaining to on-page SEO strategies. Yesterday I have covered on how to edit your online home business website’s title. How to edit your keywords tag and description tag.
Today I will proceed with the optimization of your content and ending of your website. Now launch your NVU and open your index page again. Today, all the editing work will be done here. On the normal page.
Let’s get started your home business website header. The header must be the same as what you have written in your title tag. This is important as to tell the search engine spiders these are the keyword phrases you put emphasis on. You need to also name this as your “h1 tag”. To do this, highlight your header. Then at the top right hand side of NVU you will see a box with the text that says “Body Text”. Click on the arrow to initiate the dropdown table and select “Heading 1”.
There you are, you have just placed the h1 tag in to your header. If the text is too big, you can change it by editing it at the source page and ad font size;
<h1><font size=3>Your Title Here</font> </h1>
Change the font number accordingly to your desired font size.
Next will be your body text or your site’s content keyword density. Try to sprinkle your keywords all over your online home business website. As to how much, well there’s no exact formula to this, but generally it should be between (1-3)%. You need to strike a good balance in this. Mention your keywords too little and you may not rank well. Mention them too often and you may be penalized for spamming.
So, what can we do? Not to worry you can easily find out what’s your keyword density is like by using this tool http://www.seochat.com/seotools/keyword-density/. Now to get an idea of what is a good keyword density to maintain for a given keyword, you can use the above tool on your top competitors to find the answer.
Aim for the similar keyword density as these high ranking sites do and you will not go wrong.
Other on-page optimization you can do includes inserting the ALT text in your images. You can also use your keywords for text links to your products or affiliate products. It is also an advantage to use domain names with your keywords in it or your keywords as your domain name if you can. Now, this is not a must it’s only one of the factors considered when ranking a website.
That’s basically the on-page SEO in a nut shell. On my next post I will be touching the more important part of search engine optimization. Off-page optimization of your online home business website. I’ll talk to you soon.

On-Page SEO To Boost Your Online Home Business Website Ranking Part 1
On my previous post I wrote about how you can structure your online home business website title for it to be ranked well in the search engine. Now, I must make it clear that the tips I have given you in the last few days compliment each other in the total SEO of your website. Therefore, in order to see its effectiveness you must implement all the strategies that have been and will be spelled out here.
Alright let’s proceed with what on-page SEO is all about. In this step you are basically filling your website with your chosen keywords or keyword phrases. There are in general 3 main components here. The top, the content and the ending of your site.
The Top:
This consist of the title, keyword and description of your website. Let’s start with the title or “title tag” of your website. If you open your website in the web browser, right click your mouse and select “View Source”, a new window will open to show you a notepad document. At the top portion of this page, you’ll see something like this;
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv=”Content-Type”
content=”text/html; charset=windows-1252″>
<meta name=”GENERATOR” content=”Microsoft FrontPage 5.0″>
<meta name=”ProgId” content=”FrontPage.Editor.Document”>
<title>Home Based Online Business</title>
<meta name=”description”
content=”Discover the top and PROVEN home based online business ideas and opportunities here. Find great tips to help you start your own online business”>
<meta name=”keywords” content=”home based business, online business, onine home business….”>
The portion in red above is the title tag. To edit the title, you need to download a html editor software. Go to NVU.com and install it on your computer it’s free. You can view a video of how to do this in my video tutorial (hyperlink this to http://www.awarenessseries.com/affvideos/nvudownload.avi)
After you have installed NVU html editor, launch the program by double clicking on the icon (it should appear on your desktop/frontpage of your computer after installation). Then open up your website index page (click on the open icon at the top right-hand corner). After your index page is opened, you will see your website in front of you. Click on the “Source” tap at the bottom-left. Your website source code will appear.
Your title tag will be at the top portion of this page. To edit this just place your cursor over there and type in your new title and delete the old one. That’s it, you now have a new website title. Easy right. This is the heavy technical part of the process especially if this is your first time doing it. Don’t worry after a few practices you’ll be an expert in this. It’s always good to know a little bit about html so that you can do ad-hoc changes when needed.
The next steps would be to edit the keyword and the description tags. They are normally located below the title tag and looks like this (in red below);
<title>Home Based Online Business</title>
<meta name=“description”
content=”Discover the top and PROVEN home based online business ideas and opportunities here. Find great tips to help you start your own online business”>
<meta name=“keywords” content=”home based business, online business, home business online….”>
Edit the portion within the (content=”………..HERE……….“>). For description try not to go more than 24 words and include your keywords within. Offer a quality free product or products if you can. This will encourage potential customers to click through when they find you in the search engines. As for the keywords, don’t insert too many especially if your website is new. A rule of thumb, not more than 250 characters and slowly ad on more if you want to as go along. Separate each keyword phrase with a coma and a space.
Let’s stop here for the day alright. I guess that’s quite a bit to digest for one day. I will continue will the rest of the online home business website optimization tactics on my next post. Until then…

How To Write A Good Title For Your Online Business Website
Yesterday I talked about the importance of keyword research and how to identify good keywords or keyword phrases for your online business website. This is critical in getting good ranking in the search engines and getting high organic hits.
Well, today I’ll be touching on how to structure a good title that will help optimize your website to be search engine friendly and hence, pushing it up the search engines ranking. Now, this is where your keyword research work will come in handy again.
Get your keyword database ready. What you need to do is group all your keywords or keyword phrases and make one sentence out of them. If you have keyword phrases like these for example; online home business, home based business and online businesses, you can structure a long-tail keyword phrase to be “online home based business”.
As you can see all the keyword phrases are within the long-tail and that can be used as a website title. There you go, you now have the knowledge of creating a long-tail keyword phrase for your website. Can you have more than one long-tail as your title? The answer is yes, if your website has been around for some time.
If you are just starting out and have just created your online business website, then it’s advisable to stick to only one long-tail keyword for the time being. This has to do with being friendlier with how the search engines algorithms work thus, helping your site to rank better.
In my following post I will proceed to how to do SEO on-page optimization. This helps in achieving a good ranking online for your website.
